Shit Fest of the Year!!!

Wednesday, February 29th, 2012

The Oscars are always boring and stupid, so here is the award for Shit Fest of the Year.

Real Steel

All the bears voted and Real Steel was by far the shittiest movie of the year. Let me give my synopsis.

Hugh Jackman likes to take it in the ass by giant robots. He makes a shitty career doing this in public. We then find out he has a dooshy son who also likes to take it in the ass by giant robots. Together they travel the world taking it in the ass by bigger robots. They soon fall in love with a robot that has all the right moves. Everything is wonderful… until they have to take it in the ass by the biggest and badest of all the robots. Will their poor little asses take it? Watch Real Steel to find out.

AND THE WINNER IS…..!!!!

MISSION IMPOSSIBLE: GHOST PROTOCOL

Brad Bird is now my favorite director of all time. Let’s take a look at what he has under his belt.

The Iron Giant, The Incredibles, Ratatouille, and now Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

All 4 of these movies are amazing, and I think Brad Bird is the only director who has yet to make a bad movie.

Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol is the biggest parody ever made. It makes fun of the other 3 movies in every way. This is an action movie done right, and it has now raised the bar for all movies that come after it. There literally is no plot in this movie. Every 10 minutes or so the movie is completely different than it was before. It is all driven by action and teamwork. This movie is an absolute inspiration to work as hard as you possibly can at everything you do. The main villain in this movie is the same villain we are facing in real life, and that is the fact that these nuclear weapons exist.

I think my favorite part about this movie is that it covers every spy cliché in the book. It is literally every spy movie made in the last 60 years crammed into an amazing 2 hours and 15 minutes. Given the length of the movie, it goes by like a thrill ride at Disney Land.  I was on the edge of my seat the entire time. I could go on and on about this movie, but you really need to see it for yourself. If you have not seen Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol, then stop reading and go RIGHT NOW!!!!

Bear Movie of the Year!

Thursday, January 5th, 2012

Every day this week I will put up a nominee and give a review. At the end of the week I will  announce the winner.

These movie’s don’t really have anything to do with bears, they are just the movies that got me the most pumped. You know the feeling when you are just super into the characters, the story, the music, the effects, etc. Anyway that is what this is based on.

5th nominee is!!!!!

The Adventures of Tintin

This movie was really great. Well, mostly just the characters of Tintin and Snowy. Actually if you want to get specific Snowy is by far the star of the show. I have never seen a character make so many classic jokes without any use of dialog what-so-ever.

The Animation for this movie is also incredible. It is the first time Spielberg has stepped in to direct an animated feature. Granted he is no Brad Bird, he was still able to pull off a good flick. However this still doesn’t make up for Spielberg’s last trip to the movies.

Burn in hell Crystal Skull.

4th nominee is!!!!!

30 Minutes or Less

Guy’s who deliver pizza are bad ass. This movie takes you deep into the heart of what it means to be a pizza delivery driver.

As a person who used to have this title for a living I can safely say that this movie has gotten every aspect of it right.

I can’t even tell you how many times I delivered a pizza, and when I got to the house two guys in ape suits made me rob a bank.

The gags in this movie are hilarious, and all the point break references are gold. Danny McBride’s character along with his goals in life are absolutely priceless. If you are in the mood for a stupid comedy where you learn and gain nothing from, 30 Minutes or Less is not to be missed.

3rd nominee is!!!!!

Kung Fu Panda 2

The artwork, the plot, the acting, the characters, the dialog, the music, the action, the pace, the emotion, and the thrill. All of these factors and more have been executed perfectly in Kung Fu Panda 2.

This movie can only be described as Epic. Gary Oldman’s character Lord Shen definitely stole the show this time around. I have never felt so much emotion toward a villain in a movie before.

Also this movie does have something to do with a bear. So it will be pretty hard to beat.

2nd nominee is !!!!!

Paul

Paul is probably the best sci-fi movie made in the last ten years. The plot of the movie is ridiculous. It is about two guys that find the Roswell alien and help him escape the clutches of the government. Supposedly everything in the media over the last 70 years that has anything to do with aliens is all because of Paul. Voiced by Seth Rogan Paul’s character is amazingly witty and his dialog will keep you laughing through the very end.

What makes this movie even more great is that it unites nerds everywhere. If a popular science fiction movie exists, there is a reference to it in this film. Not to mention the cameos that are so surprising that you will fall out of your seat laughing.

If you have ever wondered if we are alone in the universe, Paul is not to be missed.

1st nominee is !!!!!

Limitless

This movie is Fucken Sweet 5000. Who wouldn’t want to have access to every memory you have ever had. I don’t think I have ever wanted something more badly in my life. Maybe like a light saber or something, but it seems like with NZT I could just make my own light saber.

The cast and crew of this movie kick all kinds of ass. Directed  by Neil Burger who is now working on the Uncharted movie. Staring Bradley cooper who even outshines Rorbert DeNiro. It is a little sad that the only character Bradley Cooper can pull off in his movies is Bradley Cooper. However that character works great in this movie. Limitless is in your face from start to finish.
